Day 1- Seattle

A Marvel of the Sea

Norwegian Encore, the largest ship of its time and a 2020 Editors' Pick for Best New Ship by Porthole Cruise Magazine, was our home for the adventure ahead. From the moment we set foot on deck, we were greeted with elegance, opulence, and a promise of endless excitement.

Ready to Repeat Perfect Moments

Our 7 day cruise will be sailing to the majestic Alaska from Seattle, exploring the Last Frontier in a vessel designed for unforgettable moments. The excursions options were as diverse as the destinations themselves.

Full Throttle on the Encore Speedway

One of our first stops was to check out the Norwegian Encore Speedway, the largest racetrack at sea. The wind in our hair and the thrill of the race coursing through our veins, we couldn't have asked for a better start to our journey.  Many of the available time slots were already reserved but walk in was always an option.  Fingers were always crossed that the people that reserved the slots were having so much fun somewhere else.  It turned out that the walk-ins worked out very well. 

A Virtual Wonderland: Galaxy Pavilion

For those seeking an otherworldly experience, Galaxy Pavilion delivered. Virtual reality wonders awaited us, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary with every step we took. We made a mental note to do the full day pass on a later day. 

Music, Laughter, and Classic Hits

Evenings on Norwegian Encore meant raising the roof and singing along to classic rock hits at The Choir of Man. The ship was a stage for entertainment of every kind, promising unforgettable nights.

A Feast for the Senses

Our culinary adventure began with a visit to the buffet, where we were spoiled for choice. With our hunger sated, we roamed the ship, marveling at the sheer scale of entertainment and activities. It felt like the entire Las Vegas Strip was afloat.

Saying Farewell to Seattle

As the ship's horn sounded, we made our way to the top deck to bid Seattle adieu. The city's lights faded into the distance as we set our course for adventure on the open sea.

A Nap Before the Night

With a packed schedule of nighttime entertainment, we decided a quick nap was in order. Our luggage was already at our cabin door, a delightful surprise. We'd chosen an inside room for a serene slumber, and it did not disappoint. As our heads hit the pillows, we drifted into the best sleep of our lives, knowing that the adventures of the Norwegian Encore were just beginning.
