Chasing Sunshine and Sandwiches Our journey began with a craving for sunshine and a desire to escape the winter chill. Armed with cheap Southwest flights and a thirst for adventure, we touched down in LA on a Friday morning. Our first order of business? Tackling our grumbling stomachs! With recommendations from friends in tow, we made a beeline for Porto's Bakery, a local gem famed for its delectable sandwiches and cheese rolls. As if that wasn't enough temptation, the array of adorable cakes beckoned to us, and before we knew it, we were indulging in a heavenly slice of chocolate tiramisu cake. A promising start indeed!

Unplanned Delights and Card Game Nights With our bellies satisfied and a care package of treats in hand, we made our way to our accommodation, ready to soak up the California sunshine. With no concrete plans in sight, we embraced the freedom of spontaneity. After a leisurely nap to shake off our travel fatigue, we found ourselves immersed in the world of card games, tackling the challenge of Phase 10 with gusto. What started as a casual pastime quickly turned into an epic battle of strategy and laughter, lasting well into the early hours of the morning.
